In The Age, July 9 1983, Mark Fiddian in his VFA column named his all-stars team for Brunswick over the past 25 years:

Half-Backs: B. Nolan, J. Whiley, K. Robins
Centre: B. Bibby [even though VFA teams did not have wingmen, surely one K. Greig should've rated a mention!]
Half-Forwards: W. Schimmelbusch, J. Orton, G. Stone
Forwards: D. O'Brien, A. Cook, K. Dillon
Followers: D. Benton, G. Gingell
Rover: K. Burns (c/c)
Interchange: A. West, M. McKinnon
 

Wicks Honor Greats

Later that year, the Brunswick Football Club itself named its own top post-war side, extending the interchange bench to three and adding wingmen.
